 Tax on real estate will be increased by 3.6 per cent in the forthcoming year.
 According to the General Notification on Real Estate Tax Legislation of the Ministry of Finance published in today’s Official Gazette, the tax to be paid in 2008 for buildings, building sites and land will be calculated by increasing the amount by half of the re-evaluation rate of 7.2 per cent established for 2007, i.e. 3.6 per cent.
 For those who will become tax-payers for the first time in 2008, the taxes on buildings, building sites and land will be established by the evaluation commissions by increasing the minimal unit price in 2005 by 3.9 per cent for 2006 and by 3.6 per cent for 2007.
