English and More International Learning Centre is the new name in International Schools. Based here in Fethiye it will provide students with the enjoyment of a comfortable stay in a beautiful environment, while pursuing a variety of English language courses. Courses will be available for students from all over the world throughout the year catering for all ages and the courses will be either short or long, class based, intensive or one-to-one depending on the program the students choose to enroll in.

Students will be given the opportunity of staying with English speaking host families and English & More will be looking for families to act as hosts.

Do you think you could be one of those families? Here are some possible questions you might come up with and the answers English & More would give to them.

Do I need to own my house?
No, it does not make any difference if you own or rent as long as you can provide a secure, nurturing environment for students and you are willing to share your home and some of your time with them.

What if I am a single person?
The Host Family Manager will ensure that, as a single person, you are not put in a compromising position and will guarantee that single ladies will be allocated female students and single gentlemen, male students-unless they specify otherwise.

Do I need a work permit?
No. You are not working as such. – because the school is renting a room from you and takes responsibility for paying your taxes to that effect and will provide you with a receipt after each student has left, you are completely covered.

What about insurance?
Before they arrive each student will sign a disclaimer which means that the host families do not have to make any claims on their own insurance.  Most of the international students will have insurance before they come to Fethiye.

What if I do not have a car?
When students first arrive they will be brought to the school where they will meet their host family. For those families who do not have their own cars we will either arrange a car-share with another family from the same area or will arrange transport to the families home. During their stay the student will be expected to use public transport as required.

What if I do not “hit it off” with the student who comes to stay with me?
If for any reason you do not get along with your student then, in the first instance, you should contact the Host Family Manager and then, if necessary, the student will be found alternative accommodation.

How do I apply?

In order to begin the Host Family Application process, simply contact the school, (details given below) who will happily send out the appropriate forms for completion.  Once completed and returned, the Host Family Manager will then visit you in your home for an informal chat.

There is a huge amount to be given and even more to be gained from becoming a part of this new venture by acting as one of the Host Families and in turn being welcomed as a member of the English & More family.  A chance to meet new friends, to enhance the learning experience for new students, and participate in some fabulous activities whilst being remunerated for the whole experience.
