The teams of the Coast Guard have caught 80 refugee migrants including women and children.
According to information available, teams from the Commandership of Coast Guard, while carrying out inspections at the Katrancı Bay region, caught 80 people attempting to leave the country illegally. The majority of the fugitives were from Palestine, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan with women and children among them.
The refugees were taken ashore by the Commandership of the Fethiye Coast Guard and later to the Commandership of Gendarmerie for the finalization of formalities. Inspections are continuing on the incident.
