Cosmetics Banned at UK Airports
Category: National NewsAdd Time: Kas 30th, 2009Author: adminPassengers traveling through airports in the U.K. have been forbidden from boarding flights carrying any kinds of cosmetics or toiletries. In accordance with a decision from the British Airport Authorities (BAA), at the two major airports of Heathrow and Gatwick, passengers will not be allowed to pass through security control carrying lipstick, mascara, toothpaste or any other toiletries except those sold at the airport. These items; however, may be securely packed in checked luggage. Cosmetics other than lipstick were not originally included on the list of banned items declared by the British government after they revealed a terrorist plot two weeks ago. The BAA released this latest list after confusion over what items were and were not permissible resulted from previous security measures. By Anadolu News Agency |
